About SHoKo

The Samenwerkende Huisarts Organisatie Kempen en Omstreken, Coöperatief U.A.  (SHoKo) was founded by general practitioners working in the Southeast Brabant region. SHoKo provides ‘tailor-made care’ outside office hours.

Patients who urgently need a GP outside office hours or on Sundays and holidays can contact us by telephone. Depending on the demand, it is determined which care you need.

Several general practitioners work at the General Practitioner. They take turns on duty. In addition to general practitioners, there are also approximately 30 qualified triage nurses. They receive the request for help by telephone, make appointments, receive patients, assist the GP with minor procedures and ensure adequate handling. In addition, they handle requests for help independently under the responsibility of the general practitioner.

General Assembly

The General Meeting of Members (GMM) is the highest body within the cooperative. The GMM consists of general practitioners affiliated with SHoKo from our working area. The GMM is involved in the strategy of the cooperative and decides on important matters within the cooperative as laid down in the articles of association.

The board ensures that the objectives of SHoKo are achieved. The board consists of two members:
