How does the General Practitioner work?

The General Practitioner is there for urgent medical questions in the evening, night, weekend and on public holidays, which cannot wait until the next working day of your own GP.

Before you call us
Would you like to make an appointment with the General Practitioner? This can only be done by telephone at: 040-266 05 05. You  cannot go without an appointment. Are you calling from abroad? Then call 0031-402660505.

The triage nurse will ask you a number of questions to determine the severity of your complaints. She can advise you and, if necessary, make an appointment with the doctor on duty.

Make an appointment? Keep the following information at hand:

• Name, address, telephone number, date of birth and BSN number
• Name of own GP
• Name of health insurer and customer number / relationship number
• Medications currently used
