The Client Council

A client council is active within the Samenwerkende Huisartsen Organisatie Kempen en Omstreken (SHOKO). The client council, consisting of residents of the working area, represents the common interests of the patients and advises the board on matters that affect the quality of care and services. This is not only a legal obligation, but also entirely in line with SHOKO’s active policy as a patient-oriented organization.

Purpose and function

The client council represents the interests of all clients and contributes to the quality, accessibility and patient-orientation of care. The council consults with the board on topics such as patient information, privacy protection, complaint handling and other matters that are important for the patient experience.

Tasks

The client council focuses on the general interest of patients within SHoKo’s working area. The council contributes ideas about improving care, shares insights and signals from practice and advises the board on policy choices. Suggestions and ideas from clients are always welcome and will be included in the feedback to the board.

Composition and vacancy

Led by Mahrou Kharazi, MSc., the client council currently consists of 2 members and is expanding. We are therefore looking for enthusiastic new members who want to actively think along and contribute to optimal patient care in the region.
